Bike Chattanooga and Outdoor Chattanooga offer a monthly "Get Street Smart," an important, but fun, safety training course for those looking to learn the "ins and outs" of cylcing before hitting the roads. All ages are welcome.  

On the second Saturday of each month, join at the Development Resource Center,1250 Market St., from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Street Smarts. Students learn the fundamental skills needed to begin riding a bicycle on the road. Street Smarts teaches basic bicycle maintenance and safety checks, traffic laws, and riding skills. The class is geared for adults and children aged 16 and older when accompanied by an adult. Cost is $25 per person and students must have a bicycle and helmet. Pre-registration is required.
